SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that the Florida Panthers (@FlaPanthers) Alumni Association hosted the third “Try Hockey” Clinic at the Palm Beach Skate Zone in Lake Worth on Sunday, Jan. 12. The event was attended by families from across South Florida, including participants from Ft. Myers, Miami and West Palm Beach.
Sunday’s clinic was run by Panthers alumnus and current FOX Sports analyst Bill Lindsay and featured instruction from other Panthers and NHL alums as well as local youth hockey coaches. The first two clinics were held at the Saveology.com Iceplex on Nov. 24 and Kendall Ice Arena on Dec. 21.
“We are very pleased with the turnout, enthusiasm and overall success of Sunday’s clinic,” said Panthers VP of Broadcasting & Alumni Randy Moller. “Each of our three clinics to date has been a hit and helps grow the great game of hockey in South Florida. We look forward to more hockey fans taking advantage of this truly unique opportunity and joining us at upcoming clinics.”
Hosted at the Panthers Rink Coalition arenas, the next Try Hockey Clinic, intended for first time hockey participants, will be held on Feb. 8 at Palm Beach Ice Works at 4:45 p.m. for kids and 5:45 p.m. for adults.
