The Florida Panthers Alumni Association announced today that their Eighth Annual Pool Tournament presented by the Seminole Tribe of Florida will be held at Gatsby's Davie on March 13. Panthers players, coaches and management as well as notable Panthers alumni will participate in this special fundraiser.
"The Pool Tournament is yet another avenue for the Alumni Association to support the growth of youth hockey in South Florida," Association President and Vice President, Community Development, Youth Hockey & Broadcasting Randy Moller said. "Youth hockey is an essential part of our community and we are proud to continue our support with great events such as this."
All proceeds from the event will go toward the development of youth hockey – ice, street and roller – in South Florida. The Panthers Alumni Association already donated over $26,000 to 30 hockey players this past year, as well as purchased ice for the Florida Scholastic High School League All-Star game at incredible ICE in Coral Springs.
For interested advertisers and participants, table sponsorship is set at $3,000 the entry fee for one three-person team is $1,500.

The tournament is presented by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which has a three-year sponsorship deal with the Alumni Association and is in full support of the Association's mission of supporting education through athletics.
The Florida Panthers Alumni Association is a non-profit agency committed to the further development of the youth of South Florida through education and athletics. The pool tournament is the association's major source of funding. The finances collected through this event enable the association to donate academic and athletic grants and scholarships to the youth of South Florida who otherwise would not have the opportunity.
