SUNRISE, Fla. -Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zito announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Justin Sourdif on a three-year, entry-level contract.
"Justin is a dynamic forward who plays the game with speed and skill," said Zito. "He demonstrated his abilities as a playmaker in the WHL and we look forward to his development within our organization."
The 5-foot-11, 181-pound native of Richmond, British Columbia produced 34 points (11-23-34) over 22 games with the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2020-21, leading the club in assists and points and ranking tied for third-most points in the league.
Originally selected by Florida in the third round (87th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft, Sourdif has amassed 134 points (60-74-134) over 147 career WHL games with the Giants over the past four seasons (2017-18 to 2020-21).
On the international stage, Sourdif earned a Silver Medal with Canada at the 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, posting five points (1-4-5) over five tournament games.
