Florida Panthers Acquire Negotiating Rights to Defenseman Keith Yandle from New York Rangers

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have acquired the negotiating rights to defenseman Keith Yandle from the New York Rangers in exchange for the Panthers 2016 sixth round draft pick  (174) and a conditional 2017 draft pick.

The 29-year old Yandle recorded 47 points (5-42-47) in 82 games with the Rangers this season. The 6-foot-1, 196-pound native of Boston, Mass., has recorded 369 points (72-297-369) in 661 career games with New York (2015-16) and Arizona/Phoenix (2006-15).

Yandle was originally selected by Phoenix in the fourth round (105th overall) of the 2005 NHL Draft.
