Florida Panthers Acquire Jakub Kindl from Detroit Red Wings

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that club has acquired defenseman Jakub Kindl from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a 2017 sixth round draft pick.

The 29-year old Kindl has recorded six points (2-4-6) and a plus-three rating in 25 games this season with Detroit. Kindl has played 273 NHL games all with Detroit (2009-16) recording 68 points (16-52-68). He has played 19 career postseason games recording five points (1-4-5).

The 6-foot-3, 199-pound native of Sumperk, Czech Republic was selected by Detroit in the first round (19th overall) of the 2005 NHL Draft.
