SUNRISE, Fla. -Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zitoannounced today that the club has acquired forward Egor Korshkov from the Carolina Hurricanes and a 2022 sixth-round draft pick from the Columbus Blue Jackets (originally belonging to the Toronto Maple Leafs) in a three-team trade.
Per the terms of the trade, Florida acquired 50% of forward Max Domi's Standard Player Contract as well as a sixth-round pick from Columbus in exchange for defenseman Tyler Inamoto.
Florida then acquired forward Egor Korshkov from Carolina in exchange for 50% of Domi's remaining Standard Player Contract. Therefore, Florida will retain 25% of Domi's total contract.
Additionally, Columbus acquired defenseman Aidan Hreschuk from Carolina in exchange for Inamoto.
Korshkov, 25, skated in one NHL game with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2019-20, recording one goal. The Novosibirsk, Russia native played in 44 Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) games with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in 2021-22, producing 22 points (11-11-22). Over 275 KHL games with Lokomotiv (2014-15 to 2018-19, 2020-21 to 2021-22), Korshkov has amassed 121 points (52-69-121).
On the international stage, Korshkov earned a Silver Medal representing Russia at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship, logging eight points (2-6-8) over seven tournament games.
Korshkov was originally selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round (31st overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
