Five Florida Panthers Advance to 2015 IIHF Quarterfinals

SUNRISE, Fla. – The 2015 IIHF World Men’s Ice Hockey quarterfinals will take place on Thursday, May 14, with D Aaron Ekblad (Canada), F Jaromir Jagr (Czech Republic), F Aleksander Barkov (Finland) and F Jussi Jokinen (Finland) and D Dmitry Kulikov (Russia) representing their respective countries.

Host Czech Republic takes on Finland at O2 Arena in Prague at 2:15 p.m. (ET), in a rematch of last year’s semi-final won by Finland, 3-0. Earlier in the day, undefeated Team Canada plays Belarus at 10:15 a.m. (ET)

Team USA will face-off against Switzerland at 9:15 a.m. (ET) at CEZ Arena in Ostrava, while Sweden takes on Russia at 1:15 p.m. (ET), in the late game. The USA game will be carried live on NBCSN and also streamed live via NBC Sports Live Extra.

· F Jussi Jokinen is ranked tied for third among Finland scoring leaders with nine points (2-7—9) in seven games played.
