Panthers fans crowded Wednesday evening into the BankAtlantic Center and crowded around a giant poster of injured Panther Richard Zednik to sign their best wishes for his speedy recovery.

Fans waited 10-deep at times to sign their personal message on the poster as the Panthers played their first home game since Zednik was injured Sunday night in Buffalo.

Along with the poster signing, there was a moving video montage to Zednik before the game and a blood drive outside the arena.

Season ticket holder Gus Busmadis signed the poster and also brought a huge ‘Get Well’ card of his own to have friends and other fans sign during the game.

“I’ve been a season ticket holder and fan since ’93,” Busmadis said. “I’m a Florida sports fan, but I’m a Panther fan. It was horrific to see what happened to (Zednik). To see one of our own players go through that is tough. It’s nice to know he’s improving and the card is just a way to let him know we’re thinking of him.”
