SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that Logan Shaw has been recalled from the Portland Pirates, the club’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.
The Panthers have also assigned D Dylan Olsen to Portland.
Shaw, 23, has played five games for Portland this season, recording two goals.
The 6-foot-3, 202-pound forward recorded an AHL career-high 25 points (13-12-25) in 69 games with the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) last season.
The Glace Bay, N.S., native was selected by Florida in the 3rd round (76th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
The Florida Panthers will face the Boston Bruins at the BB&T Center on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. and the Washington Capitals on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 7:00 p.m. Part of Hockey Hallo-Weekend at BB&T Center, tickets to both games are available for $31.
