SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that acclaimed professor, explorer and oceanographer, Dr. Robert Ballard, will speak about his life and experiences – including the discovery of the Titanic - on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m in the BB&T Center’s Chairman’s Club. The event will take place prior to the Panthers vs. Red Wings game.
This exclusive speaking engagement is offered to Season Seat Owners as well as those purchasing a special ticket package that includes the lecture and a ticket to the game.

A former United States Navy Officer, Dr. Ballard is currently a professor of Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Ballard is an expert in underwater archaeology and is most widely known for his discovery of the RMS Titanic in 1985 as well as a host of other shipwrecks throughout the 1980’s and 90’s. At present, Dr. Ballard is leading an expedition on the Exploration Vessel Nautilus, which was generously donated by Florida Panthers owner Vincent Viola.
