After arriving at their suburban Denver hotel shortly after 1 a.m. (MST) on Wednesday morning, the Panthers were on ice at the Pepsi Center less than 12 hours later for a brief and spirited practice.

The 30-minute on-ice workout ended with both the players and coaching staff taking turns in a shootout on goalies Tomas Vokoun and Scott Clemmensen.

Florida earned their third consecutive win with a 3-2 come-from-behind shootout win over Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night, marking their 500th win in their franchise history.

Beginning tomorrow night in Colorado, the Panthers begin a stretch of five games against clubs that sit in either first or second place in their respective divisions. After playing in Colorado (2nd, Northwest), they travel to San Jose (1st, Pacific) on Mar. 13, before returning to South Florida for contests against Washington (1st, Southeast) on Mar. 16, Phoenix (2nd, Pacific) on Mar. 18 and Buffalo (1st, Northeast) on Mar. 20.

RW Byron Bitz (lower body) did not participate in the Panthers practice on Wednesday at the Pepsi Center and is out for Thursday night’s game against Colorado. RW Michal Repik was recalled from Rochester (AHL).
