DeBoer Takes Your Questions

Coach Peter DeBoer, who will lead the Panthers into a new era beginning this fall, is ready to answer questions from the best fans in hockey.

Panther fans can ask DeBoer a question by e-mailing them to DeBoer’s answers will then be posted at

DeBoer, a two-time Coach of the Year in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), had a combined regular-season record of 539-248-60-31 with Kitchener and the Detroit/Plymouth Whalers. DeBoer spent the previous seven seasons in Kitchener where he won the Memorial Cup in 2003 and took his team back to the finals earlier this year.

A native of Dunnville, Ontario, DeBoer played in the OHL for the Windsor Spitfires from 1985-89 (scoring 45 goals) before being selected in the 12th round of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft by the Maple Leafs. DeBoer also played two seasons in the International Hockey League (IHL) and graduated with a law degree from the University of Windsor.
