Blue Jackets team scope

Goaltender Joonas Korpisalo likely will make his second consecutive start after making 31 saves in a 3-1 victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning in his NHL season debut on Friday. Korpisalo got the call against Tampa Bay after No. 1 Sergei Bobrovsky unexpectedly was sidelined for a second game because of illness. "He's just unflappable," coach John Tortorella said of Korpisalo. "I thought he was outstanding in that first period and gave us a chance to win." Korpisalo was recalled from Cleveland of the AHL on Tuesday after goaltender Curtis McElhinney was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Goaltender Anton Forsberg was sent to Cleveland on Thursday after allowing four goals on 27 shots in a 5-3 loss against the Carolina Hurricanes. "We don't have a backup," Tortorella said. "We need to find a backup." The Blue Jackets are 5-1-3 in the second game of back-to-back sets this season and 13-4-3 on the road. Columbus is 2-3-0 following their 16-game winning streak, the second-longest in NHL history. The Blue Jackets have recalled goalie Anton Forsberg on an emergency basis.

Panthers team scope

The Florida Panthers did not hold a morning skate after their 5-2 loss against the New York Islanders on Friday. Goaltender Roberto Luongo made 37 saves against the Islanders, but hasn't played in back-to-back games this season, so James Reimer likely will start. Florida, which has lost seven of its past eight games at BB&T Center (1-4-3), was 6-for-6 on the penalty kill against the Islanders, including 3:25 of 5-on-3 time. The Panthers won the first meeting this season against the Blue Jackets, 2-1 in a shootout at BB&T Center on Nov. 26. It was Columbus' last loss before their 16-game winning streak. Florida is 3-2-2 in the second game of back-to-back sets.
