SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers wrapped up a busy week in the community that included hospital visits, post-game autographs, Toys for Tots collection, holiday wreath auctions, season seat holder holiday party and much more.
“Thanks to the generosity of our players and their families, we completed an unprecedented schedule of community outreach events that spanned a four day period,” Panthers President/COO Michael Yormark said. “Last week, our efforts were highlighted by our team hospital visits on Thursday and our Publix Kids Month post-game autographs, where our players signed for more than 750 children on Friday night. These community initiatives are just another example of Panthers All-Access and how our organization strives to be the most fan-friendly team in the South Florida community.” Wednesday, Dec. 5/Friday, Dec. 7
Prior to both home games several of the Panthers wives/girlfriends along with members of the United States Marines collected more than 1,000 Toys for Tots. All the toys that were collected will be distributed to underprivileged children in South Florida.
The Panthers also raised more than $3,000 in their holiday wreath auction, where each player’s wife/girlfriend decorated a holiday wreath. All proceeds raised from the holiday wreath auction benefit the Florida Panthers foundation.
Thursday, Dec. 6
The entire team participated in their annual hospital visits at both Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Chris Evert Children’s Center at Broward General, meeting with, signing autographs and delivering gift bags to more than 200 patients at both hospitals. Friday, Dec. 7
After Friday night’s game as part of Publix Kids Month, C Olli Jokinen, RW Nathan Horton, LW Rostislav Olesz, RW Radek Dvorak, D Steve Montador and D Noah Welch signed autographs for more than 750 children. Saturday, Dec. 8

, LW David Booth, RW Radek Dvorak and G Craig Anderson were on hand at incredible ICE in Coral Springs and met with and signed autographs with more than 500 fans at the team’s season seat holder holiday party.
D Mike Van Ryn and D Noah Welch signed autographs at Dillard’s Department store located in the Pembroke Pines Mall.
On Saturday night, G Tomas Vokoun joined Panthers executives and team sponsors for the first installment of South Beach Dinner Series. This new program gives Panthers sponsors the opportunity to dine with members of the Panthers players, broadcasters, coaches and front office executives at an exclusive South Beach restaurant.
