by Staff Writer / Florida Panthers
SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment and ADT Security Services announced today that Florida Panthers Head Athletic Trainer Dave Zenobi will receive the ADT Good Sport Award just prior to the Florida Panthers-Pittsburgh Penguins game at the BankAtlantic Center on Thursday, March 6. The award is being presented to Zenobi for his efforts in helping to save Panthers RW Richard Zednik’s life following his horrific on-ice injury in Buffalo on Sunday, Feb. 10. The award will be presented during the pre-game festivities by John Koch, president of ADT North America. Zednik will also participate in the presentation.

“I am touched and humbled to accept this honor from ADT,” said Zenobi. “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported Richard and our team during this trying time.”

“Thanks to Dave Zenobi’s brave and knowledgeable actions, one of the Panthers’ most talented and beloved players is on the road to recovery and back with his family,” said Koch. “When confronted with a crisis situation, Dave rose to the occasion thanks to his extensive training and experience. This is certainly a guy anyone would be lucky to have on their team.”

Through ADT’s sponsorship, the company presents an ADT Defensive Player of the Month award to an outstanding Panthers player in acknowledgement of their contribution to the team.  Zenobi’s award marks the first-ever ADT Good Sport Award to be awarded to a deserving member of the Panthers organization.
