BankAtlantic Center Hosts Cats Cookout 8, GameOn! Carnival and preseason games this week
SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers return from a six-game preseason road trip to a packed week of events at the BankAtlantic Center next week highlighted by Cats Cookout 8, two preseason home games and the Inaugural GameOn! Carnival.
"The entire South Florida community is excited for the start of the Panthers season, and what better way to kick things off then with a week of incredible events," said SSE chief operating officer Michael Yormark. "Fans will get their first look at the Cats during next week's preseason home games, while I expect the GameOn! Carnival to be an incredible success in its inagural year."
Cats Cookout 8 will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on the Carl's Patio. The Cookout will include free food, entertainment and appearances from select Panthers players and coaches. Fans will also have the opportunity to meet with sales representative, get tours of the BankAtlantic Center and select seats to the upcoming Panthers season which begins Friday, Oct. 6 when the Cats take on Boston at 7:30 p.m.
The Florida Panthers Preseason Presented by Bruce Rossemeyer Harley Davidson will kick off Wednesday night, Sept. 27, as the Cats play host to division rival Atlanta Thrashers. The following night, the Panthers will play their final preseason game of 2006 when they take on the Chicago Blackhawks. On Friday, Sept. 29 the Florida Panthers Foundation will kickoff its 2006-07 season with the Panthers GameOn! Carnival. The entire Florida Panthers organization will be on hand – including players, coaches and staff – as the Panthers Foundation hosts a grand night of entertainment for fans, and supports a worthwhile cause. The players themselves will take part in a multitude of carnival games and activities.
