Cats & Coffee - Panthers welcome fans for open house

Good morning and welcome to “Cats & Coffee,” a weekly segment in which we get you caffeinated with an exciting look at the week ahead for the Florida Panthers.

There’s a party at the BB&T Center this weekend and everyone is invited!

The Florida Panthers will be opening their doors from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in order to give fans a chance to select their seats for what is guaranteed to be an exciting 2016-17 season.

With ticket packages starting as low as $150, there is guaranteed to be a plan that fits every budget. In addition to selecting your seats, there will also be activities for both children and children at heart.

You can RSVP here or simply stop by on the day of the event.

Once you’ve upgraded your seats, make sure to head on over to Pantherland to stock up on select merchandise featuring the team’s recently unveiled logo. Although the Panthers’ sharp new jerseys are currently unavailable for purchase, you can update your wardrobe with a wide variety of hats, shirts and other various goodies.

In a season that culminated with his first-career playoff goal, the 24-year-old Petrovic made great strides in cementing himself as a key member of the Florida’s defensive core going forward, scoring 17 points (2-15—17) in 66 regular-season contests.

2016 NHL Awards – June 22

A year after defenseman Aaron Ekblad captured the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s top rookie, three more Panthers -- Aleskander Barkov (Lady Byng), Gerard Gallant (Jack Adams) and Jaromir Jagr (Masterton Trophy) -- will look to secure some special hardware of their own at the upcoming NHL Awards in Las Vegas.

2016 NHL Entry Draft – June 25-24

The Panthers hold six picks in the upcoming draft, including the 23rd and 33rd overall selections.
