Whether you're a fan of running or just growing interesting facial hair, this event is for you.
With the NHL getting set to celebrate "Movember" during the month of November, the Florida Panthers announced last week that the organization will host its inaugural "Stache Dash 5K" between Nov. 20 and 23 to help raise awareness for men's cancer research and prevention.

"The Stache Dash is a way to bring fans together for an important cause this November," said Florida Panthers Chief Commercial Officer Shawn Thornton. "As a leader of cancer research and treatment in the community, we knew Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center would be the best partner to raise awareness and funds for men's health through this race."
Presented by Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, this virtual run is open to participants around the globe with two different race packages to choose from. Throughout the weekend, racers will also be encouraged to share photos or videos of their run to help spread the word.
By tagging @FlaPanthers and @SylvesterCancer, racers will have a chance to be featured on the Panthers social media channels and website. In order to be entered into this contest, racers only need to post a video completing the sentence "I Run For \\_" with the correct social tags.
The two race packages are as follows:
- VIP package, $55: This package includes participation in the race, a virtual race bib, official race medal, exclusive mustache mask and a lower-level game voucher for a future Panthers game.
- GA package, $25: This package includes participation in race, a virtual race bib, official race medal and an exclusive mustache mask. To sign up for the "Stache Dash," click HERE.

TIPPETT TAKES THE ICE

Owen Tippett lent a hand a recent "Learn to Play" session at Palm Beach Skate Zone.
Joined on the ice by Panthers legend Bill Lindsay, the former first-round pick helped lead a class of new skaters through a series of drills while also answering questions about candy.
"They were telling me about all the Halloween candy they were eating," Tippett chuckled.

Introducing the game to children ages 5-9, the "Learn to Play" program provides participants with a set of equipment (skates, pads, etc.) and six weeks of on-ice training at a reduced cost. For more information on the program, please visit

.
"It's good," said Tippett, who is eager to get the 2020-21 season started. "Obviously, any hockey player remembers these days. When I was younger and had someone that was older and a pro hockey player come out, it was fun to learn from them and have some laughs."

HARVEST DRIVE A SUCCESS

Panthers fans, you rock!
In conjunction with Harvest Drive Florida, the Panthers and UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) held a food drive this past Saturday at BB&T Center to help benefit Broward County families in need.
For those of you that braved the never-ending rain and dropped off donations, thank you! All in all, it's safe to say that despite the circumstances, this year's drive was easily one of the best.
