Even with the NHL season on pause, the Florida Panthers are still making moves.
Last week, the organization bolstered its blue line by inking a pair of defensemen to entry-level contracts. Alec Rauhauser, an undrafted free agent, joined the team on a one-year deal, while Max Gildon, a third-round selection in 2017, received a three-year deal. Both deals are two-way.

Leading the University of New Hampshire's defensive corps in scoring during each of his three collegiate seasons, Gildon, 20, packs an offensive punch at the point. In 101 career games with the Wildcats, he notched 73 points (21 goals, 52 assists), including 13 goals on the power play.
This past season, the 6-foor-3, 191-pound native of Plano, Texas was named to Hockey East's 2019-20 Third All-Star Team after registering 29 points (seven goals, 22 assists) in 34 contests.
Rauhauser, meanwhile, joins the Panthers after wrapping up an incredibly productive career at Bowling Green State University. Leading the Falcons with 35 points (11 goals, 24 assists) in 38 games, he ranked fourth in scoring among all NCAA defensemen during the 2019-20 campaign.
Named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Year for the second time (he first won the award in 2017-18), the 6-foot-3, 223-pound native of Bismarck, North Dakota also earned a nomination for the 2020 Hobey Baker Award, which is presented annually top hockey player in the NCAA.
In 159 career games at Bowling Green, Rauhauser recorded 122 points (29 goals, 93 assists).

BEST COMEBACKS

The Panthers pride themselves on never panicking.
From clawing their way back from a four-goal deficit in under 20 minutes in Boston to stealing two points in Minnesota with only a few seconds left on the clock, they have already mounted more than a few epic and unforgettable comebacks throughout the 2019-20 season thus far.
Simply put, you can never count the Cats out of a game. In fact, taking a look at the numbers, their six wins when trailing after two periods were tied for the eighth-most in the entire league.
But don't just take my word for it, re-live five of those amazing comebacks HERE.

BOYLE'S POSTCARD

Just a few days after signing a one-year contract with the Panthers back in October, Brian Boyle put pen to paper on a quick letter to his fans as part of the ongoing "Panthers Postcard" series.
Checking in from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, the veteran center talked about his first road trip, getting to know his new teammates, the thrill of being back in the NHL and more!
"I'm really thankful for this opportunity with the Florida Panthers," Boyle wrote. "It was a test of patience for a number of weeks, but it was all about just keeping the faith and hoping that things would work out however they would. In the end, I'm very happy that everything worked out the way it did."
