cats n coffee 5-14-18

Good morning and welcome to "Cats & Coffee," a weekly segment presented by Community Coffee in which we get you caffeinated with an exciting look at the week ahead for the Florida Panthers.
The Florida Panthers want to help you take your first steps onto the ice.

Whether you want to become a hockey player, figure skater or simply someone who can take a few laps around the ice with ease, the organization's new "Learn to Skate" program is the perfect way to get started on achieving your dream.
In conjunction with the NHL and NHLPA, the Panthers will be offering their "Learn to Skate" program at four local rinks: The Panthers IceDen (Coral Springs), Palm Beach Skate Zone (Lake Worth), Palm Beach Ice Works (West Palm Beach) and Glacier Ice & Snow Arena (Pompano Beach).
This new program is designed for people of ALL AGES that have little or no prior skating experience. For $155 -- or $105 for children 12 or younger -- you will not only receive eight weeks of on-ice training from a certified instructor, but also a pair of ice skates to keep after the conclusion of the course.

After nearly two weeks of exciting preliminary matches, the quarterfinals of the annual tournament will begin on Thursday, with the big winners being crowned following the championship game on Sunday, May 20.
In Group A, Panthers forwards Evgenii Dadonov and Maxim Mamin have helped Russia to a near-perfect 4-0-1 record, with the duo combining for eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) and a plus-7 rating in five games.
In Group B, Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad and head coach Bob Boughner, who serves as an assistant at the event, have contributed to Canada's early 3-1-1 record. After five games, Ekblad's four points (one goal, three assists) are the second-most among Canadian defensemen.
