Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has agreed to terms on a five-year contract with C Dave Bolland.
“Dave is a proven winner and we are pleased to welcome him to the Florida Panthers,” said Tallon. “He is a smart, two-way player who competes hard every shift and adds to our depth at center.”
Bolland, a two-time Stanley Cup Champion (2010 & 2013), has played in 355 National Hockey League games for Chicago (2007-2013) and Toronto (2013-2014), scoring 78 goals with 102 assists and 235 penalty minutes. He has appeared in 67 post-season contests, all with Chicago, registering 43 points (17-26-43), including scoring the Stanley Cup winning goal in 2013. Bolland has recorded 35 or more points three times during his seven-year playing career, including a career-best 47 points (19-28-47) in 2008-2009.
The Mimico, Ontario native, was drafted by Chicago in the second round (32nd overall) in the 2004 NHL Draft.
