The Florida Panthers own eight selections in Day Two of the NHL Draft:

  • Round Two: None
  • Round Three: 77 & 88
  • Round Four: 102
  • Round Five: 132 & 147
  • Round Six: 162
  • Round Seven: 192 & 206
10 a.m.: Event is underway with the San Jose Sharks selecting first in the second round. Former No. 1 overall pick Aaron Ekblad is signing autographs at the Upper Deck Booth. 11:30 a.m.: With the 77th pick in the NHL Draft, the Florida Panthers select G Samuel Montembeault. 11:45 a.m.: Florida Panthers use their 88th pick in the third round to select defenseman Thomas Schemitsch from the Owen Sound Attack. Click here to read his draft profile.
12 p.m.: The Panthers are on deck to select 102 in the fourth round. New Panther Samuel tells the media that he looks up to Roberto Luongo.

12:42 p.m.: Florida Panthers trade their 2015 fifth round pick to the New York Islanders for a 2016 fifth round pick.

1 p.m. With their sixth round selection (162, the Panthers select RW Christopher Wilkie. Click here to read his draft profile. Who responded with a tweet: 1:23 p.m: With the 192th pick in the #NHLDraft, the Florida Panthers select C Patrick Shea.
1:34 p.m.: With the 206th pick in the #NHLDraft, the Florida Panthers select G Ryan Bednard.

Bednard becomes the first Tomahawks player ever drafted.


1:43 p.m.: The Florida Panthers make eight selections in the 2015 NHL Draft.
