SUNRISE, Fla. – Trade Publication PollStar announced today that the BankAtlantic Center ranked No. 24 in the United States in the publication’s fourth quarter building rankings. The ‘Center of it All’ has an even more exciting quarter ahead with acts such as Foo Fighters, Van Halen, Donna Summer, Jackie Mason and more scheduled for the first three months of 2008.
“It was a phenomenal year of entertainment at the BankAtlantic Center in 2007,” Sunrise Sports & Entertainment chief operating officer Michael Yormark said. “These latest numbers are proof that the BankAtlantic Center continues to be the premier entertainment destination in South Florida. Moving forward we will continue to maintain an aggressive programming strategy and expect to move up the rankings quickly with a stellar schedule of events over the next six months.”
The BAC ranked ahead of such renowned venues as the XCel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., the United Center in Chicago, the Pepsi Center in Denver and more.
Additionally, Sunrise Sports & Entertainment and the BankAtlantic Center would like to thank all of their constituents for making 2007 one of the most successful years in the history of the venue.
The BankAtlantic Center hosted some of the world’s top tours in 2007 including Beyonce, Disney High School Musical, American Idols Live!, Chris Brown, Tool, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Rod Stewart, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback and “Dancing With The Stars.”
