BankAtlantic Center Ranks No. 19 in the Country

‘Center of it All’ one of the world’s top venues


SUNRISE, Fla. – Trade Publication PollStar announced today that the BankAtlantic Center ranked No. 19 in the United States in the publication’s third quarter building rankings.

“It has been a phenomenal year of entertainment at the BankAtlantic Center so far,” Sunrise Sports & Entertainment chief operating officer Michael Yormark said. “These latest numbers are proof that the BankAtlantic Center continues to be the premier entertainment destination in South Florida. Moving forward we will continue to maintain an aggressive programming strategy.”

The BAC ranked ahead of such renowned venues as the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., the US Airways Center in Phoenix, the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, the Pepsi Center in Denver and more.

Additionally, Sunrise Sports & Entertainment and the BankAtlantic Center would like to thank all of their constituents for making the first half of 2007 one of the most successful in the history of the venue.
 
Over the first three quarters of the year the BankAtlantic Center hosted some of the world’s top tours including Beyonce, Disney High School Musical, American Idols Live!, Tool, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Rod Stewart, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback and “Dancing With The Stars.”

“We put together a sensational schedule of concerts and shows for our fans during the first three quarters of the year and have a great entertainment schedule set for the coming months,” SSE Director of Event Programming Sid Greenfeig said. “Both the frequency and diversity of our events continues to position the BankAtlantic Center as the premier entertainment venue in South Florida.”

Sunrise Sports & Entertainment is the premier company of its kind in South Florida. Home to more than 185 events annually and the Florida Panthers Hockey Club, the BankAtlantic Center is consistently a top 20 U.S. venue according to Pollstar. The BankAtlantic Center welcomes more than two million guests each year and is also the home of the Sinatra Theatre presented by BankAtlantic and three monthly South Florida publications: Unrestricted and Panthers Insider.
