Credit cards will now be accepted at all concessions
SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that beginning with the Van Halen concert on Tuesday, February 12, every concession inside the BankAtlantic Center will be equipped to accept credit cards from patrons. This point of sale upgrade is something that BankAtlantic Center guests and South Florida sports and entertainment fans have suggested through a number of customer service forums and surveys over the past year.
“This point of sale upgrade in the BankAtlantic Center represents a huge customer service benefit for our fans – one that they have long been asking for – and our commitment to maintaining a first class facility,” SSE President & Chief Operating Officer Michael Yormark said. “Our company made a significant financial investment to make this change and we are excited at the convenience that it will provide and the positive affect it will have on the overall BankAtlantic Center experience.”
Currently patrons are only able pay with cash at most concession areas. But beginning with the Van Halen concert on February 12 and the Panthers-Montreal Canadiens game on February 13, major credit cards will be accepted everywhere in the arena.
Sunrise Sports & Entertainment is the premier company of its kind in South Florida. Home to more than 185 events annually and the Florida Panthers Hockey Club, the BankAtlantic Center is consistently a top 20 U.S. venue according to Pollstar. The BankAtlantic Center welcomes more than two million guests each year and is also the home of the Sinatra Theatre presented by BankAtlantic and three monthly South Florida publications: Unrestricted and Panthers Insider.
