The Cats finish off the last two games of their four-game homestand and of 2014 before hitting the road.

Storylines to Watch

- G Roberto Luongo is two wins shy of tying G Dominik Hasek for 11th all-time in career goaltending wins (389).

- F Jimmy Hayes is one goal shy of tying his career-high for goals in a season (11).

- The Panthers host a division rival and travel to face one this week.

- The two Metropolitan Division teams Florida will face have been competing with the Cats for a playoff spot.

TUESDAY'S TILT

Dec. 30 vs. Montreal Canadiens (22-11-2)

The first of five meetings this season between the two clubs, the Cats face a Montreal team who has sat at the top of the Atlantic Division for most of this season. The Panthers split the 2013-14 season series with their division rival.

The Panthers and Rangers are right in the thick of the playoff hunt and Wednesday's game is shaping up to be a big one. For the second straight season the Panthers and Rangers do battle in South Florida on New Year's Eve. The 2014 Eastern Conference Champions swept the season series against the Panthers in 2013-14 and got the best of the Cats in the shootout in the previous New Year's game. The Rangers head into the week as the hottest team in the NHL, having won eight straight games.

The game will be the final regular season game between the two teams as they battle for two points in the playoff race.
