5 Things To Know: Panthers vs Senators

5. Florida and Ottawa meet tonight for the second time in eight days. Last week, on Wednesday, Oct. 22, Florida defeated Ottawa 3-1 behind 41 saves by Panthers G Craig Anderson.  

4. The trio of LW Cory Stillman (5-4-9), D Keith Ballard (1-7-8) and D Nick Boynton (2-3-5) has accounted for eight goals and 14 assists through the first eight games of the season.

3. With a win tonight, Florida will finish October with a 5-4-0 record, marking the team's best start to the season since the 2005-06 campaign when the club also went 5-4-0 through their first nine games played.

2.  D Jay Bouwmeester paces the NHL averaging 29:27 in ice time per game.  

1.  Tonight's game marks the final home contest for the Panthers until Wednesday, Nov. 12 when Florida hosts the Tampa Bay Lightning. After tomorrow's game the team will play their next five games on the road, including a three-game west coast road trip with games in Los Angeles (Nov. 6), Phoenix (Nov. 8), and Anaheim (Nov. 9).
