5. The Florida Panthers open a two-game road trip tonight against the NY Islanders, before visiting the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday, Feb. 3. The Cats have posted a 7-1-3 mark in games played in January and have gone 16-6-7 in games played since Nov. 24. With a win tonight the Panthers will tie their franchise mark for points in January (19). The 1999-2000 Florida squad posted a 9-4-1-0 mark in January.

4. D Jay Bouwmeester ranks first in the NHL averaging 27:17 of ice time per game and has 19 points (11-8-19) with a +10 rating in his last 28 games played. He had a four-game goal scoring streak snapped on Jan. 19 against Buffalo and has recorded eight points (5-3-8) in his last 10 games played.

3. C Michael Frolik ranks seventh among NHL rookie scoring leaders with 24 points (11-13-24). In addition, Frolik places fourth among rookie leaders in shots on goal (86), seventh in rookie goal scoring (11) and tied for seventh in power play points (7). He recorded the first three point effort (1-2-3) of his NHL career on Tuesday, Jan. 27 in the Panthers 3-2 victory over Philadelphia.

2. G Tomas Vokoun has posted a 6-1-2 mark in his last nine starts, earning one shutout with a .929 save percentage. The tandem of Vokoun and G Craig Anderson ranks seventh in the NHL with a 2.64 GAA and third with a .921 save percentage.

1. LW David Booth has recorded 19 points (8-11-19) in his last 17 games played and paces the Panthers with 20 goals and 33 points (20-13-33).
