5 THINGS EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT TONIGHT'S GAME:

5. The Florida Panthers complete a three game homestand this evening when they host the Philadelphia Flyers. The Cats are 2-0-0 on the homestand defeating the Carolina Hurricanes 4-2 on Jan. 8 and the Atlanta Thrashers 8-4 on Jan. 10. The Panthers are 4-0-1 in their last five games and have scored 27 goals over that span.

4. D Jay Bouwmeester, who was named to the 2009 Eastern Conference All-Star team on Thursday, Jan. 8, ranks 2nd in the NHL averaging 27:29 of ice time per game and has 15 points (8-7-15) with a +10 rating in his last 22 games played.

3. C Michael Frolik, who was named to the 2009 Eastern Conference YoungStars on Friday, Jan. 9, ranks 8th among NHL rookie scoring leaders with 19 points (9-10-19). In addition, Frolik places fourth among rookie leaders in shots on goal (73), 10th in rookie goal scoring (9) and tied for 11th in power play points (5).

2. C Stephen Weiss has recorded 18 points (5-13-18) with a +11 rating in his last 22 games played and places second on the club with 27 points (7-20-27).

1. LW David Booth has recorded 14 points (6-8-14) in his last 11 games played and paces the Panthers with 18 goals. He also currently has a career high eight game point (6-7-13) scoring streak in tact.
