  Nazem Kadri

The Lowdown:
   5-11, 175 pounds
   London (Ontario Hockey League)
   DOB: 10-6-90 – London, Ontario
   Final rank: 15 Midterm rank: 11 (NA-S)

The Shinny:
Gritty competitor with good speed and skill. Can play all three forward positions. Despite missing time with a broken jaw he led the OHL in shorth anded points (five goals), finished ninth in the league in assists (53), and was second on the team in scoring with 78 points behind teammate and No. 1-ranked junior John Tavares. Helped Kitchener to Memorial Cup final in 2007-08 with 26 points in the playoffs.
NHL Central Scouting’s E.J. McGuire: “He’s big, lanky and skilled. He uses his size to accentuate his pick skills. Size, reach, stick handling ability, those long kids of stick movements that Mario (Lemieux) used to make, like (Vincent) Lecavalier makes.”
John Tavares on Kadri: “Naz is a guy who brings a lot of skill. He’s a guy who handles the puck really well and sees the ice really well…as well. He’s able to find the open guys when it seems like everyone is covered and there’s not much area to put the puck in.”
Kadri on Kadri: “I like to have the puck. I think two of my strengths are play-making and stick handling. When the puck is on my stick, I like to do something with it and I think I see the ice pretty well, so that’s definitely a bonus.”
Did you know: Kadri’s hockey idol was Paul Kariya.
