2008 NHL Draft: Zach Boychuk

Leading up to the 2008 draft, will be highlighting some of the top prospects to look out for. Could the Panthers draft one of these players with their pick in the second round or might they move up to grab one of these top players to further bolster their system and hope they contribute to the big club one day?

Helped lead team to WHL Eastern Conference championship in 2008, leading all players in playoff scoring with 11 goals and 8 assists. Was second on team with 72 points and was 15th overall in WHL scoring. Helped Team Canada win gold at 2008 World Junior Championships. Had two goals in CHL Top Prospects Games. Patterns game after Daniel Briere.


Skilled player who quarterbacks the power-play and might be best two-step quickness guy in all of junior hockey. All-around offensive player who sees the ice well and a treat to watch.


Quick off the mark and, oh, so dangerous in the offensive zone of play.
