12 Panthers Players To Make Community Appearances This Weekend

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that the Florida Panthers will be all over the South Florida community this weekend with a visit to Chris Evert Children’s Hospital and Panthers Live at Duffy’s Sports Grill Plantation on Friday, the Florida Panthers Rink Tour on Saturday, and the Cats-Sharks game at the BankAtlantic Center on Sunday.

All told, 12 different Panthers players will make community appearances on Friday and Saturday covering both Palm Beach County and Broward County. Fans can follow all the Panthers fan development appearances at
“Once again the Florida Panthers prove to be the most active professional sports team in the South Florida community,” said Panthers president & COO Michael Yormark. “We’re excited to support one of our local hospitals, our local skating rinks and our great partner Duffy’s, with a diverse schedule of community events this weekend. In addition, I hope our fans will respond with a great showing at the BankAtlantic Center on Sunday when the Cats take on the visiting San Jose Sharks.”

Florida Panthers Foundation Chris Evert Children’s Hospital Visit
Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, 1 p.m.

- Radek Dvorak, Stephen Weiss and Tomas Vokoun will give patients Valentine’s Day-themed goodies and host an ice cream party courtesy of Coldstone Creamery in the Panthers-themed pediatric oncology unit.
Panthers Live at Duffy’s Sports Grill Plantation
Friday, Feb. 11, 6 p.m.
811 South University Drive, Plantation
- Scott Clemmensen, Jason Garrison and Mike Santorelli in an open forum with fans hosted by FOX Sports Florida broadcaster Bill Lindsay and Panthers in-arena host Bill Murphy.
Florida Panthers Rink Tour
Saturday, Feb. 12, 5 p.m.
- Rostislav Olesz and Scott Timmins at Pines Ice Arena, 12425 Taft St., Pembroke Pines
- Keaton Ellerby and Evgeny Dadonov at Palm Beach SkateZone, 8125 Lake Worth Road, Lake Worth
- Chris Higgins and Mike Weaver at Palm Beach IceWorks, 1590 N. Florida Mango Road, West Palm Beach (Panthers Party Patrol 3–6 p.m.)
