EDMONTON, AB - Oilers Captain Connor McDavid confirmed he will participate in the 2018 World Championships, joining linemate Ryan Nugent-Hopkins on Team Canada.

"Going to World Championships is not where you want to be playing in May," said McDavid during his exit interview. "But ultimately, it's so special to represent your country."

McDavid previously played in the event in 2016.

"We won a gold medal in Russia and I have great memories from that," said McDavid. "Those are times that you won't forget."
