The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation today officially launched the fifth annual Winner’s Choice Lottery, a unique lottery in Alberta where winners have the option to take cash on all the major prizes.
The prize package is headlined by a grand prize Showhome in South Edmonton’s Upper Windermere. Custom built by Carriage Signature Homes, the Winner’s Choice Lottery grand prize boasts 4,896 sq. ft. of finished living space. The winner will have the option to take the home or $1,500,000 cash.
The Winner’s Choice Lottery Early Bird prize is a 2013 Range Rover – Autobiography Sport Edition. The winner will have the option to take the car or $100,000 cash.
Natalie Minckler, Executive Director of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation said, “We are extremely thrilled to be awarding over 6,200 prizes including the grand prize home, vehicles and vacations. With all these prizes, anybody who purchases a ticket will have a 1 in 10 chance to win a prize, the best odds we’ve ever had. Winner’s Choice Lottery has been around for five years now and the proceeds raised are truly making a big impact on young lives in Edmonton and Northern Alberta.”
“Back for 2012 is the choice of the Take 50 Add-on. Take 50 Add-ons are $10 each, five-pack for $25, or fifteen-pack for $50. The guaranteed payout is $200,000, but we expect to far exceed that figure as last year’s jackpot was over $750,000 with the winner taking home just over $375,000,” added Natalie. Take 50 Add-on information is available at WinnersChoiceLottery.com.
The proceeds from the Winner’s Choice Lottery continue to support the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation re-development of Edmonton’s Inner City High School. In 2010, the EOCF purchased a new home for Inner City High School, and today the new school can accommodate up to 150 students, which is a 100% increase over the previous facility. Since relocating to the new school, registration us up by 15% and attendance has improved by 10% and they have very proud high school graduates. Over the years, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation has gifted over 22 million dollars to over 2,700 charities in our community who focus their activities on youth education, and youth health and wellness.
Winner’s Choice Lottery tickets are only $100 each; $250 for three or $375 for five. For more information on the lottery visit www.WinnersChoiceLottery.com or contact Natalie Minckler at 780-409-5810. For more information on the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation visit www.oilersfoundation.ca
