Winchester Assigned to Hamilton

by Staff Writer / Edmonton Oilers
With the return of forwards Todd Harvey and Fernando Pisani to the lineup, the Edmonton Oilers have assigned left winger Brad Winchester to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

Winchester, the Oilers second choice in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, made his NHL debut with Edmonton this season. Through seven games with the Oilers, Winchester was scoreless with seven penalty minutes.

Harvey returned to the Oilers lineup in the teams 5-3 win at Dallas last night after missing eight games (Oct. 10-25) with a sprained right ankle suffered versus Vancouver on October 8th.

Pisani re-joins the Oilers for their game at Nashville tonight after missing the last two games. The right winger had been placed on the NHLs Injured Reserve List earlier in the week when he stayed in Edmonton to undergo medical tests.
