Vote for the Play of the Week - Oct 26 to Nov 1

by staff / Edmonton Oilers
Each week, reviews all the top goals and saves and narrows it down to the final three. That means it's up to you the fans to decide which is the top play for the week. At the end of the year, we'll put the top plays up against one another to determine the play of the year.

Dustin Penner has emerged as the winner for Plays of the Week in each of the first three weeks to start the season but this week we'll have a new winner. Ales Hemsky, Patrick O'Sullivan and Nikolai Khabibulin are the contenders.

Hemsky's goal against Detroit

After taking a pass from Penner, Hemsky uses his speed to break away from the Red Wings defender and score on Jimmy Howard. It was Hemsky's second of the game and made it 4-0 for the Oilers.

O'Sullivan's shootout-winning goal against Detroit

The skilled forward skates in and calmy fires the puck past Howard to give Edmonton the shootout lead and ultimately a 6-5 shootout victory over the Red Wings.

Khabibulin stonewalls Boston

With time ticking down to end the second period and the game tied 0-0, Khabibulin makes save after save until the Bruins run out of time.
