Taylor Hall wired one upstairs on a one-timer off a beautiful cross-ice feed from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins at 1:10 of the second period. That goal put the Oilers up 2-0 and would be Hall's first of two markers on the night.

Taylor Hall led the way on this night with 3 points(2G, 1A). Hall showed increasing chemistry playing on a line with fellow first-overall pick, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle as the three combined for seven points. Hall was dangerous everytime he touched the ice en-route to the Oilers 3-2 victory.

Nikolai Khabibulin wasn't overly busy in this one, but was able to hold the fort when called upon. He faced only 20 shots on goal but made some timely saves, allowing the Oilers' young guns to take over the game.

Tonight's game featured two original Winnipeg Jets in Nikolai Khabibulin and Coyotes forward, Shane Doan. They represent two of three remaining original Jets in the league, with the other being Anaheim Ducks winger, Teemu Selanne.

"I have to be honest, I didn't need to call for it, he knew I was there."
