The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Ty Rattie to a one-year contract

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Ty Rattie to a one-year contract.

Rattie, 25, appeared in 14 games with Edmonton this season, posting nine points (5G, 4A), two penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating

The 5'11", 184-pound forward appeared in 53 games with the American Hockey League's (AHL) Bakersfield Condors, recording 43 points (21G, 22A) and 24 penalty minutes. He led the Condors in goals (21) and ranked second in points (43) and power play goals (8). He also represented Bakersfield at the 2018 AHL All-Star game.

The Airdrie, Alberta native has appeared in 49 career NHL games with St. Louis, Carolina and Edmonton, registering 19 points (9G, 10A) and eight penalty minutes.

The Oilers signed Rattie as a free agent on July 1, 2017. He was originally selected by the St. Louis Blues in the 2nd round, 32nd overall in the 2011 NHL Draft.

The Edmonton Oilers have assigned defencemen Ethan Bear and Keegan Lowe to the American Hockey League's Bakersfield Condors.

Bear, 20, appeared in 18 games with the Oilers this season, posting four points (1G, 3A) and 10 penalty minutes.

The 5'11", 209-pound defenceman has posted 16 points (6G, 10A) and 12 penalty minutes in 34 games with Bakersfield this season.

Lowe, 25, appeared in two games with Edmonton this season, including making his Oilers debut on April 5 versus Vegas.

The 6'2", 195-pound defenceman has appeared in 49 games with Bakersfield this season, posting 14 points (2G, 12A) and 65 penalty minutes.

The Oilers have recalled defenceman Keegan Lowe on emergency basis

The Edmonton Oilers have recalled defenceman Keegan Lowe from the AHL's Bakersfield Condors on an emergency basis.

Lowe, 25, has appeared in 49 games for Bakersfield this season, posting 14 points (2G, 12A), 65 penalty minutes and a +13 plus-minus rating.

In his fifth professional season, Lowe has appeared in 308 career AHL games, posting 69 points (15G, 54A), with 406 penalty minutes.

The 6'2", 195-pound defenceman has appeared in two NHL games in 2014-15, while a member of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Lowe was originally selected by Carolina in the third round of the 2011 NHL Draft, 73rd overall.

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have recalled goaltender Laurent Brossoit from the AHL's Bakersfield Condors on an emergency basis.

Brossoit, 25, has appeared in 22 games for Bakersfield this season, posting an 11-7-4 record, with a 2.72 GAA and a 0.912 save percentage.

The 6'3", 204-pound native of Port Alberni, BC has appeared in 13 games with the Oilers this season, posting a 3-7-1 record, with a 3.22 GAA and a 0.886 save percentage.

The Oilers have also reassigned forward Brad Malone to Bakersfield (AHL).

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have acquired forward Cooper Marody (University of Michigan, Big Ten) from Philadelphia in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, previously acquired from New Jersey.

Marody, 21, is completing his third season with the University of Michigan (Big Ten), leading the conference in scoring with 46 points (14G, 32A) in 37 games. The native of Brighton, MI becomes the third Wolverine to win the Big Ten scoring title, after Zach Hyman (2015) and Kyle Connor (2016).

The 6'0", 190-pound forward was also named First Team All-Big Ten, as selected by a panel of Big Ten coaches and media.

Marody and the Wolverines, ranked 10th in the most recent U.S. Men's College Hockey poll, are taking part in the NCAA Northeast Regional this weekend in Worcester, Mass., facing #8 Northeastern on Saturday, March 24.

Marody was originally selected by Philadelphia in the sixth round, 158th overall, of the 2015 NHL Draft.

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have recalled forward Brad Malone from Bakersfield (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Malone, 28, has 31 points (13G, 18A) in 50 games with Bakersfield (AHL) this year. The native of Chatham, NB has already appeared in seven games with the Oilers this year.

The 6'2", 207-pound forward is in his seventh professional season, and has appeared in 176 career NHL games, posting 30 points (13G, 17A) and 188 penalty minutes.

Malone was signed as a free agent by the Oilers on July 3, 2017.

The Oilers have also assigned defenceman Dillon Simpson to Bakersfield (AHL).

Simpson, 25, has appeared in 56 games with Bakersfield this season, posting 17 points (4G, 13A) and 16 penalty minutes. He leads all Condors defencemen in points (17) and games (56).

The 6'2", 195-pound blueliner, has appeared in 237 career AHL games, accumulating 65 points (14G, 51A) and 76 penalty minutes.

The Edmonton, Alberta native has played in three career NHL games with the Oilers, posting two penalty minutes.

Simpson was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 4th round, 92nd overall in the 2011 NHL Draft.

Rattie, 25, has appeared in 53 games with Bakersfield this season, posting 43 points (21G, 22A) and 24 penalty minutes. Rattie leads the Condors in points (43), goals (21), assists (22) and points per game (0.81), and ranks second on the team in power play goals (8).

Rattie has appeared in two games this season with the Oilers averaging 12:43 of ice time.

The 6'0", 195-pound forward, has appeared in 268 career AHL games, accumulating 184 points (92G, 92A) and 103 penalty minutes.

Oilers have recalled defenceman Ethan Bear from the AHL's Bakersfield Condors

The Edmonton Oilers have recalled defenceman Ethan Bear from the AHL's Bakersfield Condors.

Bear, 20, has 16 points (6G, 10A) and 12 penalty minutes in 34 games this season with Bakersfield. 

The 5'11", 209-pound defenceman is in his rookie professional season, after being drafted by Edmonton in the fifth round, 124th overall, of the 2015 NHL Draft.

In 2016-17, the native Regina, SK captained Seattle to the WHL Championship and was named WHL Defenceman of the Year. Bear played for Canada's National Under-18 program twice, winning gold at the 2014 Hlinka Memorial and a bronze medal at the 2015 World U18 Men's Hockey Championship in Switzerland.
