The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Josh Currie to a two-year contract.

Currie, 25, has spent the past three seasons with the AHL's Bakersfield Condors, leading the team in scoring this past season with 46 points (20G, 26A) in 68 games. 

The 5'11", 190-pound forward has posted 106 points (52G, 54A), 129 penalty minutes and a +7 plus-minus rating in 188 career AHL games.

The Edmonton Oilers have signed 2018 first round pick (10th overall) Evan Bouchard to a three-year entry-level contract

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have signed 2018 first round pick (10th overall) Evan Bouchard to a three-year entry-level contract.

Bouchard, 18, led the OHL's London Knights in scoring in 2017-18, with 87 points (25G, 62A), while posting a +23 plus-minus rating.


 
The native of Oakville, ON served as team captain in London and was a finalist for the Max Kaminsky Trophy as OHL Defenceman of the Year and the Red Tilson Trophy as Most Valuable Player.

The 6'2", 195-pound right-handed blueliner also played for Canada's National Under-18 Team at the 2016 Hlinka Cup, where Canada finished fifth.

RELEASE: Oilers sign Strome

The Edmonton Oilers have re-signed forward Ryan Strome to a two-year contract through the 2019-20 season

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have re-signed forward Ryan Strome to a two-year contract through the 2019-20 season.

Strome, 24, appeared in all 82 games with the Oilers last season, posting 34 points (13G, 21A) and 33 penalty minutes. He also registered six power play points and three game-winning goals. 

The 6'1", 194-pound forward has appeared in 340 career NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers and New York Islanders, tallying 160 points (58G, 102A), with 156 penalty minutes and a +1 plus-minus rating.  

The native of Mississauga, Ontario, has also played in 15 career NHL playoff games, recording eight points (3G, 5A) and four penalty minutes.

Strome was acquired in a trade with the New York Islanders on June 22, 2017. He was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the 1st round, 5th overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft.

The Edmonton Oilers have signed free agent forward Kyle Brodziak to a two-year contract.

Brodziak, 34, played for the St. Louis Blues in 2017-18, posting 33 points (10G, 23A), 33 penalty minutes and a +13 plus-minus rating in 81 games. The native of St. Paul, AB is a veteran of 847 NHL games, recording 287 points (123G, 164A), 429 penalty minutes and a -38 plus-minus rating.

The Oilers have signed centre Kyle Brodziak to a two-year contract

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have signed centre Kyle Brodziak to a two-year contract, the club announced Sunday.

The 34-year-old tallied 10 goals and 23 assists with the St. Louis Blues last season. The St. Paul, AB, product has been with the Blues for the past three campaigns.

Brodziak was the Oilers seventh-round selection (214th-overall) in the 2003 NHL Draft. The 6-foot-2, 209-pound forward has amassed 123 goals, 164 assists and 287 points in 847 career NHL games, spending time with the Oilers, Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues.

The Edmonton Oilers have signed free agent forward Tobias Rieder to a one-year contract

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have signed free agent forward Tobias Rieder to a one-year contract.

Rieder, 25, split the 2017-18 season between Arizona and Los Angeles, posting 25 points (12G, 13A), six penalty minutes and a -12 plus-minus rating. Rieder also appeared in four playoff games with Los Angeles, with a -1 plus-minus rating.

The 5'11", 188-pound forward has appeared in 312 career NHL games, tallying 117 points (55G, 62A), with 36 penalty minutes and a -60 plus-minus rating. 

The native of Landshut, Germany has represented his country several times internationally, most recently at the 2017 World Hockey Championship, posting one goal in three games. He also represented Team Europe at the 2016 World Cup, recording one assist in six games.

Rieder was originally drafted by Edmonton in the 4th round, 114th pick, at the 2011 NHL Draft.

The Edmonton Oilers have signed free agent defenceman Kevin Gravel to a one-year contract

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have signed free agent defenceman Kevin Gravel to a one-year contract.

Gravel, 26, appeared in 16 games with Los Angeles in 2017-18, posting three points (3A), two penalty minutes and a -3 plus-minus rating. The native of Kingsford, Michigan spent the balance of the season with the AHL's Ontario Reign, where he was an alternate captain and posted 11 points (3G, 8A), 17 penalty minutes and a -3 plus-minus rating in 25 games.

The 6'4", 212-pound left-handed defenceman, has appeared in 70 career NHL games, posting 10 points (1G, 9A), with eight penalty minutes, and an even plus-minus rating.

Gravel has played for the U.S. National Program on three occasions, winning a gold medal at the 2012 World Junior Hockey Championship, the 2010 World Junior A Challenge and a silver medal at the 2009 Hlinka Memorial Cup.

He was originally selected by Los Angeles in the fifth round, 148th overall, at the 2010 NHL Draft.

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Tobias Rieder to a contract, the club announced Sunday.

In 78 games last season with the Arizona Coyotes and Los Angeles Kings, Rieder registered 12 goals and 25 points.

The 25-year-old has 117 points in 312 games, spending the bulk of his career with the Coyotes.

The Edmonton Oilers have signed defenceman Kevin Gravel

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have signed defenceman Kevin Gravel, the club announced Sunday.

Gravel, 26, was previously a member of the Los Angeles Kings organization. Last season, the left-shot defender split time between the American Hockey League's Ontario Reign and Kings.

In 16 outings with Los Angeles, Gravel notched three assists in 16 games. In 25 matches with the Reign in 2017-18, the rearguard had three goals, eight assists and 11 points.
