WHAT A START! The Oilers couldn't have hoped for a better beginning to the 2016-17 season as they opened with back-to-back wins over the provincial rival Calgary Flames. In this week's #OilCountry social media roundup, we look back on the two victories vs. Calgary, update you on a pair of contests we're running with our corporate partners, bring back the top GIFs of the week and feature some fans sportsing hard in our spotlight.

BATTLEOFALBERTA
One of our favourite parts of the #BattleOfAlberta is seeing so many Oilers fans invade enemy territory at the Saddledome! We can't help but think all the support in the visiting building helped spur the boys on to a sweep of the home-and-home series to start the season.

BACKTOHOCKEY
We have a winner! Congrats to Tanya Hawrylenko, who picked up her free Oilers window decal at her local Canadian Tire, stuck it on her door and got an assist from her kids to submit her #BacktoHockey photo. Tanya has won tickets to Sunday's game against the Buffalo Sabres, two signed jerseys and $1,000 to spend at Canadian Tire!
