Time for your weekly dose of Oilers social media! This week in Oil Country, players expressed their condolences on the passing of music icon Prince, we keep tabs on what a few of the guys have been up to so far this off-season, and we check in at the annual Oilers Hockey Clinic in Cold Lake. Enjoy!

RIP, PRINCE

The music world lost one of its greats this week as renowned guitarist and pop-funk icon Prince passed away at the age of 57. His sudden death hit literally close to home for fellow Minnesota native Matt Hendricks, while passionate music fan Andrew Ference also paid his respects to the departed performer.

OFF-SEASON TRACKER

When the hockey season comes to an end, it’s all about friends and family time for hockey players. Iiro Pakarinen recently packed up his cute, little clan for a trip to Disneyland, while Pat Maroon and his girlfriend Francesca made a pit-stop to their old stomping grounds in California before the Big Rig returned home to St. Louis. Back in Edmonton, Brandon Davidson gave a fond farewell to Rexall Place this week as he cleared out his gear from the old locker room.

HOCKEY CLINIC

The annual Oilers Hockey Clinic presented by Cenovus has invaded Cold Lake this weekend, kicked off Friday night with a community party at the Energy Centre, featuring Glenn Anderson, Mark Letestu and Louie DeBrusk in attendance. Kids from across Northern Alberta get the chance to work on their skills this weekend at this free clinic. Also, special thanks to Boston Pizza for providing some complimentary eats last night
