Nugent-Hopkins will throw the ceremonial first pitch before the Capitals take on Na Koa Ikaika at 7 p.m. The Oilers prospect will then sign autographs for fans on the TELUS Field concourse. The ceremonial first pitch is scheduled for 6:50 p.m., so fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early.

The Capitals' 2011 Canada Day Series is presented by Mott's, as Caesars are just $3 at every game. The series started Tuesday night as Edmonton improved to 19-12 by beating Maui 9-7, and games are scheduled Wednesday through Saturday with 7 p.m. start times.

Friday's game will be the biggest Canada Day party in all of Edmonton, with the best seats in the city to watch the river valley fireworks display. And in addition to the appearance by Nugent-Hopkins, Saturday's series finale will also include another Cheemo Mascot Race.
