There's a possibility the Oilers blueline could get bolstered by Kris Russell's return from injury Tuesday. The defenceman practiced fully Monday in Tampa and is feeling ready to play.

"The last three or four days have been really good," said Russell. "I've felt really good on the ice, my legs are coming back, lungs are feeling good so looking forward to getting back. Hopefully, it's tomorrow. I haven't got the confirmation yet but we'll find out in the morning."
Russell has not played since the Oilers loss in Carolina back on February 3.
Oilers Head Coach Todd McLellan left the door open for Russell's return, stating, "he'll be evaluated in the morning and then we'll make that decision tomorrow."
Another good sign for the blueline is Darnell Nurse's impending return as well. The defender is closing in on playing for the first time since undergoing surgery to repair ligament and bone damage to his ankle back in December.
"I expect him to play on this trip," said McLellan. "I know it won't be tomorrow, and likely not on Wednesday but maybe we can start talking about him after that. We can get him a few more practices and get him real ready to go, but he's certainly closer than he was a week ago."
