EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have signed free agent forward Brendan Perlini to a one-year, two-way contract with an average annual value of $750,000.
Perlini (6'3", 210 lbs) spent the 2020-21 season with HC Ambri-Piotta of the National League (Switzerland) recording 16 points (9 goals, 7 assists) and 26 penalty minutes in 21 games.
A veteran of 239 NHL games, the 25-year-old was the first-round selection of the Arizona Coyoyes (12th overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft.
The Guildford, England native played 153 games for the Coyotes from 2016 to 2018 recording 57 points (33 goals, 24 assists) before getting dealt to the Chicago Blackhawks, with whom he dressed for 47 games tallying another 15 points (12 goals, 3 assists).
Eventually making his way to the Detroit Red Wings by way of trade during the 2019-20 campaign, Perlini added a goal and three assists in 39 games to his career totals (46-30--76).
