EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers have signed Brad Malone to a one-year, two-way contract and placed him on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the AHL's Bakersfield Condors.
The 32-year-old forward was previously under contract with the Condors, currently serving as team captain and scoring seven goals with 19 assists in 26 games this season.
Malone has played 199 career NHL games with the Oilers, Carolina Hurricanes and Colorado Avalanche, recording 13 goals and 17 assists. He also has six playoff appearances.
The 105th-overall selection by the Avalanche at the 2007 NHL Draft played 16 games with the Oilers in 2017-18 and 2018-19, recording zero points and 10 penalty minutes.
