EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers have loaned goaltender Olivier Rodrigue to the Graz99ers of the Austrian Hockey League for the 2020-21 season.
The 62nd-overall pick at the 2018 NHL Draft recorded a 2.32 goals-against average and .918 save percentage in 39 games with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL during the 2019-20 season.
Rodrigue was also part of Hockey Canada's gold-medal team at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship, serving as their third netminder behind Nico Daws and Joel Hofer.
The 20-year-old also back-stopped Canada to a gold medal at the 2017 Hlinka Gretzky Cup with a miniscule 1.00 goals-against average and stellar .942 save percentage in four games.
Fellow Oilers prospect Cooper Marody is also playing in Austria for the Dornbirn Bulldogs.
