EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers have loaned forward Cooper Marody to the Dornbirn Bulldogs of the Austrian Hockey League for the beginning of the 2020-21 season.
The 23-year-old is two seasons into his professional career, tallying five goals and 12 assists in 30 games with the Bakersfield Condors during the abbreviated 2019-20 AHL season. Marody scored 19 goals and 45 assists in 58 games with the Condors during his impressive AHL rookie campaign.
Marody made his NHL debut during the 2018-19 season, appearing in six games with the Oilers with zero points, and was also on Edmonton's Return To Play roster this summer.
The Michigan native was originally drafted 158th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2015, but the Oilers acquired him in March 2018 in exchange for a third-round selection in the 2019 NHL Draft.
