EDMONTON, AB- The Oilers will open their Training Camp ahead of the 2021-22 NHL season with 61 players, including seven goaltenders, 18 defencemen and 36 forwards.
General Manager and President of Hockey Operations Ken Holland announced Wednesday defenceman Duncan Keith will join Training Camp on Friday, Oct. 1 due to quarantine requirements.
Holland also announced Wednesday goaltender Alex Stalock is unlikely to play this season as he continues get evaluated for a possible heart condition.
Training Camp began Wednesday with medicals and fitness testing, and the first on-ice sessions will be held Thursday. The Oilers will open their eight-game preseason schedule on the road against the Calgary Flames on Sunday at 7pm MT, followed by the expansion Seattle Kraken's first-ever visit to Rogers Place on Tuesday at 7pm MT.
All preseason games will be streamed live on EdmontonOilers.com, with the exception of the matchups with the Vancouver Canucks on Oct. 7 and Oct. 9 that will be televised on Sportsnet.
The Oilers open the 2021-22 regular season against the Canucks on Oct. 13 at Rogers Place, and single game tickets for all home games are now available at
