RELEASE: Oilers activate Klefbom off Injured Reserve

The 25-year-old defenceman has been sidelined since December 11 with a hand injury

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have activated defenceman Oscar Klefbom off Injured Reserve.

Klefbom, 25, has been sidelined since Dec. 11 with a hand injury.  

The native of Karlstad, Sweden has 15 points (3G, 12A) in 31 games, with eight penalty minutes and a +1 plus-minus rating.

At the time of his injury, he led Oilers defencemen in points, and the team in average ice-time (25:25).

The 6'3", 216-pound defenceman is in his sixth season with the Oilers, having appeared in 286 games, posting 109 points (27G, 82A), 42 penalty minutes and a -35 plus-minus rating.
