EDMONTON, AB- The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) online 50/50 raffle is back for the 2021-22 Edmonton Oilers season and will run during all home and away games. There are also new enhancements to the online 50/50 program that will give Albertans more chances to win big.
For the 2021-22 season, the EOCF is excited to announce the addition of progressive jackpots for select games. During progressive jackpots, the raffle will run on multiple Oilers game days and the jackpot will accumulate until the final day of the raffle, creating the opportunity for mega-jackpots.
The first EOCF 50/50 progressive jackpot will include all Oilers pre-season games, opening at 9am MT on Sunday, September 26 and closing at 11pm MT on Saturday, October 9.
As the Oilers prepare to welcome fans back to Rogers Place, the in-game experience will also look a bit different as fans will have the opportunity to use their mobile device to purchase 50/50 tickets. As the EOCF shifts to a cashless system, 50/50 ambassadors will be available throughout Rogers Place to provide fans assistance with their 50/50 ticket purchase if needed.
Fans attending the game will need an email address and mobile device to purchase their 50/50 tickets. All sales, both in-game and online, will go to the same 50/50 jackpot, so fans anywhere in Alberta will have the chance to win.

Early-bird prizing will return this season with at least one prize drawn every Oilers game day. The Oilers home opener on Wednesday, October 13 will feature an assortment of hourly prize draws in addition to the main 50/50 jackpot. Prizes include a Sky Lounge Oilers game experience for 20, loge ledge tickets to the Battle of Alberta, pizza for a year and more.
New and exclusive prizes will be announced throughout the season including Oilers season seats, the ultimate Oilers road trip experience, a Martin Motor Sports ski-doo, an RV, and a 2021 Ford Mustang.
The EOCF will also offer SMS text reminders for the online 50/50 raffle. Fans can text Oilers5050 to 844-411-5050 to sign up for text reminders. Standard message and data rates may apply.
With the shift to online sales and the tremendous support and passion shown by fans in Oil Country and all of Alberta, the EOCF set a record amount of $13 million donated to charitable organizations throughout Oil Country last season.
"The EOCF online 50/50 program has provided the EOCF a unique opportunity to support our community in deeply impactful ways," said Corey Smith, Board Chair, Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation. "We are extremely grateful for the generosity of fans across the province whose support has allowed us to provide much needed assistance to charitable groups who continue to work tirelessly to serve communities in Oil Country."
Funding from the EOCF is primarily focused on programs aimed at those most vulnerable in the community, youth hockey programming with a goal to increase participation of under-represented groups, and stepping up to support the community in times of need.
The EOCF has established itself as the number one 50/50 provider in the National Hockey League. This season, with the help of Oilers fans across Alberta, the goal is to set new records for professional sports.
In accordance with the enhanced COVID-19 health and safety requirements at Rogers Place announced earlier this month, fans attending games will have to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result. Full details and requirements can be found on
