RAPID REACTION:Jeremy Colliton now has his first win as head coach of the Blackhawks, following a 1-0 victory over the visiting St. Louis Blues. The win snapped an eight-game losing streak for Chicago, and they now have points in two straight.
Brent Seabrook opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 4:05 of the second period. His shot trickled past Jake Allen to give the Blackhawks the 1-0 edge.

CRAWFORD'S NIGHT:In a scoreless first period without much in the way of offensive chances, Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford made a big save to keep the Blues off the board. The netminder stopped the dangerous Vladimir Tarasenko on a 2-on-1 rush with just over eight minutes left in the frame. He finished the game with the 28-save shutout, the Blackhawks first of the season.

POWER PLAY STRIKES:Seabrook's goal in the second ended a Blackhawks power-play drought that dated back to their Nov. 3 game in Calgary. In their previous stretch of three games, heading into tonight, Chicago went 0-for-6 on the man advantage. It was the first power-play goal of the Colliton era.
GAME PUCK:The Blackhawks players gave Colliton the game puck following his first win as their coach.

TALKING POINTS:
"It's not fun to start out the first 20 games and get behind the way we have, but a lot of teams go through this and it's a long year, we know it's going to be tight in the standings all the way through the end of the regular season. Other teams go through it. We'd like to think we've gotten over the hump. Obviously, we need to keep building off of this win and the confidence it gives us the next few games. But it's nice to get that behind us, knowing our best hockey is coming and it's coming soon. It's exciting for our group right now."- Jonathan Toews on ending the streak
"I thought our guys played really well tonight. Everyone played together. We didn't make that many mistakes...We didn't really give up that many scoring chances, in the third too we played well defensively. Everyone in the middle of the ice kept them to the outside. That was a big win for us, against a really good team too."- Corey Crawford on getting the shutout
"Coming up with speed, I thought we had good back check. I thought the D got up on a couple forwards. I'm sorry, I mean, I say the same thing every time. If we lose it's that we're not doing that stuff enough, if we win we're doing that stuff well. But it was good, it was fun, it's nice to have a win. I'm sure tomorrow at the rink will feel a lot better and it was nice to get the monkey off Jeremy's back."- Brent Seabrook on getting the win over St. Louis
